This week we have a couple of new long-term volunteer opportunities and several new short-term opportunities!

New! Living Arts of Tulsa, Inc. 307 East M. B. Brady Street, needs help with distributing Posters, Friday, December 19th, 2014 would be best. In the future, Living Arts will contact you further in advance for future shows. Please, let us know what is available. The posters are to publicize Speaking Volumes/Transforming Hate, a traveling showcase featuring the diverse work of 39 artists who have transformed thousands of anti-Semitic and racist books into an uplifting and dynamic exhibition. The exhibition is visually powerful, thought provoking, sometimes humorous, always challenging, and ultimately deeply moving. Speaking Volumes/Transforming Hate opens January 2nd from 6:00pm-9:00pm and the show will remain in the Living Arts Galleries through February 26th. There will be a curator’s talk at 5:30pm event. The distribution would involve traveling the Tulsa area, taping or stapling around 50 posters in various locations. Any and all help would be appreciated! Volunteers should have the ability to walk distances up to 1/2 mile or more and be fairly familiar with the Tulsa area.

New! N.E.A.T.’s, North East Active Timers at 3119 S. The booth will be open for limited hours between December 5th and the 23rd as they will focus on the weekend shoppers. The booth will be located in a store at the Promenade Mall on the lower level near JC Penny’s. Store directory should be listed as space #145. They are generally looking for volunteers to serve between 3-4 hour shifts, but are flexible as they just appreciate any time they are willing to give. A fun project for families, friends or groups!  Volunteers can contact Hannah to sign up by emailing at or calling at 918-594-7769.
