RSVP matches the
talents and interests of volunteers 55 and over with meaningful
efforts that enhance the quality of our community. RSVP
believes in conducting ourselves and our business with integrity
and excellence. We are committed to promoting volunteer
service as a way of life, identifying and utilizing the
experience of people age 55 and over, empowering and respecting
individuals, developing partnerships that benefit communities,
maximizing talent - the combination of ability, skills,
knowledge and experience - to create a more meaningful whole. |

Where do
volunteers serve? |
RSVP volunteers serve at community service
organizations in Tulsa, Creek, Wagoner, and Washington
Counties. A few of the recipients of the community services
provided by RSVP volunteers are: schools, libraries, social
services, museums, the Tulsa County and Broken Arrow Municipal
courts and Tulsa International Airport, the arts, the Tulsa
Zoo and the Oklahoma Aquarium, county and city government
offices, the courts, hospitals, and several animal aid
organizations. In addition to numerous varied volunteer
position available at the 390 agencies are position available
with our own RSVP programs. |
Special
Events |
RSVP seniors help with one-time
events such as the Tulsa Designer Showcase, Salvation Army
Angel Tree, Special Olympics, art festivals, and golf
tournaments. RSVP members provide a multitude of various and
sundry other special services such as tutoring and mentoring;
reception, clerical, and data input; tour guide and docent;
bookkeeper; advocate; or driver. RSVP constantly updates and

Partners In Education with TPS Lanier
Elementary |
The RSVP School
Partner is Lanier Elementary School. Learn more about Partner School success
stories at the Tulsa
Chamber of Commerce website under the Community Betterment
section. RSVP volunteers read one-on-one with 1st and
2nd grade children on a weekly basis. Other RSVP
volunteers assist teachers and act as student mentors.
The variety of available opportunities to participate in and
impact communities challenges volunteers to engage their
talents, learn new skills, give something back, and share
results firsthand. |

Funding |
RSVP is funded by the Corporation for National and
Community Service, Tulsa Area
United Way, the State of Oklahoma. Also, one-third of our
operating funds comes from private foundations, area
corporations, and individual donors throughout Tulsa, Creek,
Wagoner and Washington Counties. | |
